Schedule / Courses

The HorsePower Tee Shot Tour is proud to announce an outstanding schedule of events in 2008. The golf courses which have been chosen have met the pre-requisites required to host a HTST event, including being in close proximity to the racing facilities hosting Sprint Cup races . These facilities will provide an outstanding backdrop for the nationally televised competitions. They also have the infrastructure to provide sponsor hospitality including the pro-am golf outing and evening VIP areas for our important guests.

Our entire staff would like to sincerely thank these facilities for hosting us in 2008. We look forward to working with the entire organization and meeting the golfers who play there on a regular basis. This year should be a great deal of fun and we are excited about orchestrating HTST events at these outstanding venues well into the future.

The first hole is an excellent opportunity to let the shaft out. A reachable par 5 with a slight dogleg to the right 300 yards off the tee. Big hitters can challenge the corner with a high, soaring tee shot over the trees that guard the corner at 325 yards. Drives of 400 yards are possible if you are willing to “let the big dog eat”.

The 10th hole at Mark Twain G.C. is a demanding uphill 428 yd par 4 that plays longer than the scorecard reads due to an uphill approach shot to the green. Mark Twain Golf Course architect Donald Ross has provided a generous fairway to hit to from the tee, but a demanding uphill approach shot with a middle iron awaits the player after a well placed tee shot. Number 10 at Mark Twain G.C. is one of several difficult par 4's that requires a precise iron shot into an elevated green. It should be exciting to watch the HorsePower Tee Shot Tour long drivers "rev it up" and go for the green on August 7th.

This 400 Yard Par 4 will allow all the players to "Let it Rip". The NASCAR players will face fairway bunkers on each side of the fairway which will require an accurate tee shot. As for the Power Pros, it will take their best tee ball to reach this green. A deep greenside bunker guards the left side but a slightly downhill and firm landing area at the 370 yard mark may allow for that "Hotshot" to take a big bounce and reach the big Par 4. If one of these "Monsters" drive No. 1 green, it will be a first and we look forward to watching them try.

The first hole at the Joliet Country Club measures 415 yards, well bunkered, and lined with mature trees down both sides. The hole is slightly uphill, which makes it play longer than the stated yardage. In order to drive this par 4, a player would really have to rip it!!

The first hole at Maple Dale is a straight away 401 yard par 4. The hole may be short but it poses quite a challenge. With water down the left and right sides, trouble just short of the green, and the fairway only 30 yards wide, accuracy will be important. This hole will generate a lot of excitement because it'll give the Horsepower Pros a great chance of flying it on the green.
