John possesses an entrepreneurial spirit, with an “out-of-the-box” philosophy that continually shapes the company and provides for cutting edge business strategies. Several of John’s unique real estate accomplishments have been featured in local and national newspapers, including The Wall Street Journal. Most recently, JTM has been rated by Inside Business, a Virginia business magazine, as the 9th largest residential company for its region in Virginia.
John has actively competed in the Re-Max World Long Drive Championship, qualifying for the finals in 2004 and 2005 in Las Vegas. John also was in the finals of the ALPHA Classic Long Drive Tournament in Des Moines, IA in 2005, competing against sixty of the longest hitters in the world and finishing fourth behind former world champions Bobby Wilson, Mike Gorton, and Frank Miller. While maintaining his amateur status by donating his winnings to charity, John has been a participant in the Outback PROAM Champion’s Tour event in Tampa, FL. John made the finals in 2006 as well as in 2007, when he was teamed with Tom Wargo and Mark O’ Meara during Sunday’s final round.
Jeff Hammond
Since joining FOX Sports in 2001, Jeff Hammond has become one of sport television's most popular figures. During NASCAR on FOX events, Jeff and partner Chris Myers host the weekly pre-race show from the famed "Hollywood Hotel" located near Victory Lane at each race track. Jeff contributes to the actual race broadcasts as an analyst which airs on FOX Sports.
In only their first year, NASCAR on FOX received six (6) Emmy nominations and amazingly took home three (3) of the coveted awards.
Jeff is seen every Friday night of race season doing Trackside Live on Speed Channel. He and host Steve Byrnes along with Darrell Waltrip, Larry McReynolds and Elliot Sadler bring you all of the happenings on and off the race track.
Jeff’s vast knowledge of the stock car racing industry comes from hands on experience. Jeff started his career in 1974 as a crew member for legendary racer Cale Yarborough, where he became one of the most accomplished tire changers in the industry. In 1981, the highly entertaining Darrel Waltrip took over for Yarborough and immediately recognized Jeff’s talents and wanted him as his crew chief. Waltrip’s wish came true and in 1982 Jeff took over the controls for the team. Two championships and forty-three wins later Jeff became recognized as one the most successful crew chiefs in NASCAR history.
