We're getting all of the last minute details taken care of as it relates to our inaugural event of The Horsepower Tee Shot Tour, which will be held in Charlotte at the Cabarrus Country Club. Everyone is excited about the future because of the great exposure that will come out of this, not only for the Long Drivers but for the SPRINT CUP drivers as they will be able to show the world they can do other things besides drive cars at 200mph and they too are true athletes.
On the Long Drive side, Sean “The Beast " Fister has had some off season shoulder surgery and as always has been working hard to get ready for what could be his finest year in the sport. Brooks Baldwin, Kevin Bullard, JD Murkeson, our true southern connections, have also been working out and practicing. Out west, Vince Howell is California Dreamin’ and I'm sure hitting a golf ball somewhere right now. You gotta love his passion. And of course there's Mr. Smooth, Danny Luirette, the longest lefty in the world. This is one guy that the golf swing comes natural to and he knows when to turn up the gas. Looking to the North, up in Pa., we’ll find another world champ in Carl Wolter. Carl is passionate about this sport but he's also passionate about his job as a school teacher and his influence on young kids will be his real legacy as we need more people like Carl. Then there's our rookie sensation from New Jersey, Scott Ionno. This guy can hit the ball where he wants as he did when he won the Pinnacle Exceptional Challenge last year.
On the SPRINT CUP Driver side, Elliott Sadler is having a great start to his racing season. He's a great ball striker that can hit it a ton. Brain Vickers has just come on board and can't wait to compete in this format. J.J. Yeley is in the mix every week at the track and making some strong moves. He's also another one that can't wait to go head to head on the tee box. Hermie Sadler can also pound it and straight. I'm sure a little brotherly love won't be near the tee box when they get their turn. Kyle Petty has stated his intentions about competing and he's another one that won't back down from a challenge. Stephen Leight has been waiting his turn patiently at the track to jump behind the wheel when he's called upon. He's a lot like Scott Ionno as he's a rookie but brings a lot to the table and will get instant respect. We've got our last few spots for SPRINT CUP Driver's getting ready to be filled. So, as they say, " Let's Get It On". Get Ready for an exciting year and please feel free to express your comments.
